Can you pickle grapes? What about carrots, onions, and green beans? Annie Wegner LeFort will answer your questions as she leads a pickling demonstration with audience participation at the Old Courthouse Museum. Enjoy tasting a variety of pickled foods and take home a jar with a recipe and spices to try pickling at home.
Annie Wegner LeFort has a long history of growing, cooking, and sharing food. More recently, in 2003, she helped found Slow Food Wisconsin Southeast, began exploring urban farming, and teaching food preservation classes, vegetarian cooking demos, and other nutrition-based cooking classes in various venues around the metro-Milwaukee area.
