A Day of Remembrance

6:00 AM
United Vietnam Veterans of Hartford, VFW Post 8834 and members of the Courtney-Carr-Milner American Legion Post 19 Color Guard and Firing Squad will execute a traditional rifle salute at each of the city's four cemeteries

7:00 AM
The Avenue of Flags will be put up on the Abbott Avenue near the VFW Memorial Hall

10:00 AM
Memorial Service on Main Street near the Hartford City Hall bridge. A rifle salute and wreath laying at the Vietnam Memorial in downtown Hartford will follow.

11:00 AM -- Parade
Begins at North Main Street and proceeds south to Sawyer Park

11:30 AM -- Memorial Day Program
Memorial Day program at Sawyer Park will include American Legion Second District Commander Robert Shappell as the main speaker.
