“How to make medical costs less costly” will headline the Medical Center Foundation of Hartford’s 34th Annual Dinner Meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, April 18 at Hartford Golf Club and is open to the public. Social hour begins at 5:00 p.m., dinner is at 6:00 p.m. followed by a brief meeting, updates on Foundation programs and featured speakers.
This year’s featured speaker is an Associate Professor at Marquette University, Dr. Ronda Hughes, Ph.D., who specializes in finding ways to make medical costs less costly. Her program of research has focused on the organization of healthcare institutions and systems of care, and how that affects the work environment, the quality and safety of patient care, and patient outcomes. Early work focused on national policy regarding underserved populations, patient safety and quality improvement, and end-of-life care.
